We are currently seeking applications from individuals interested in being considered for the Shipboard Management position of Chief Engineer, Major at Salt Spring Island. Because these are new vessels, the successful applicants will be required to work at different locations and routes throughout the year to facilitate the transition and training process.

As Chief Engineer, Major you are passionate, innovative and possess the technical, interpersonal, administrative and leadership skills as well as the experience required for safe and efficient management and operation of the ship’s machinery and equipment. You are committed to the Company’s vision and values including safety, exceeding customer expectations and performance efficiency. Your experience includes proficiency in marine engineering with relevant operating systems and a demonstrated knowledge in safe work practices, leadership & development of employees and an understanding of financial and budget processes.

Interested employees holding a Transport Canada 1st Class Motor Certificate is required, a 2nd Class Motor Engineering Certificate may be considered for this opportunity based on meeting the qualifications, experience and suitability requirements determined by the Company.
