You will have to perform mechanical operations and maintenance on Z-Drive tugs. You will be required to work in Paspébiac.

YOUR TYPICAL DAY
Reporting to the Project Manager and the Tug Captain, you will have to:
Maintain the main engine and auxiliary equipment;
Operate electrical, mechanical and hydraulic control systems as well as replenishment-at-sea equipment;
Operate and maintain refrigeration, ventilation and air conditioning equipment;
Monitor the tasks of the preventive maintenance system;
Ensure the implementation of the safety management system in his department;
Monitor the functioning parameters of the main engine (pressure, temperature, levels) and report any irregularity;
Other related tasks as requested by his supervisor.
OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE
Hold a valid STCW 3rd class motor marine engineering mechanic certificate (minimum required);
Hold Certificates of Proficiency (CoP): MED Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats; STCW Basic Safety; Advanced Fire Fighting;
Hold a valid Marine Medical certificate issued by Transport Canada;
Have 3 to 5 years of experience as Engineer Officer;
Good knowledge of diesel motor mechanics;
Good physical condition;
English (asset).
