Overview

PKM Canada Marine Terminal LP is recruiting for a Maintenance Planning Superintendent to join the Vancouver Wharves team, located in North Vancouver, BC. This position reports to the Manager of Maintenance and Engineering in the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit, part of Pembina’s Facilities Division. NBU is involved in the Fractionation, Terminaling & Storage, and Logistics and Distribution of specification natural gas liquids throughout north America. Natural Gas Liquids are components of natural gas classified by weight and number of carbon atoms – Methane (C1), Ethane (C2), Propane (C3) Butane (C4) and Condensate (mixture of C5+). Fractionation involves separating the different products in an NGL mix out into Ethane, Propane and Butane. The Vancouver Wharves terminal handles bulk cargo including mineral concentrates, diesel, sulphur, and grain products on behalf of customers.


The Maintenance Planning Superintendent will lead a team of maintenance support staff and be responsible for processes that support daily work execution and promote proactive, cost-effective maintenance practices whilst ensuring asset reliability.
Responsibilities

Provide direct leadership to the maintenance support staff;
Manage maintenance administrative processes including CMMS (SAP), major maintenance capital project management, procurement, inventory control, and performance to budget;
Lead Preventive Maintenance (PM) strategy rationalization;
Manage PMs, streamline and update for new assets and remove as required; and refine PM compliance reporting;
Manage backlog of in-progress work, and prioritize and ensure work order information is updated;
Manage asset condition monitoring program;
Review list of critical spares and revise based on asset failure history and risk identified by subject matter experts;
Review annual maintenance capital and expense budgets based on zero-based budgeting principles and historical cost analyses;
Responsible for monthly budget forecasting and variance reporting;
Ensure all work is completed within Pembina Maintenance Management (PMM) guidelines; and
Foster a team environment that values equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Job Qualifications

10+ years of relevant experience in maintenance management, coupled with a degree in engineering or related discipline/trade qualification, particularly Mechanical or Electrical, would be an asset;
Previous leadership or supervisory skills;
Strong working knowledge of planning, coordinating, and scheduling for proactive and predictive maintenance;
Experience working in a unionized heavy industrial environment; ideally at a marine terminal is preferred;
A strong mechanical aptitude and familiarization with conveying equipment and heavy mobile equipment is required; and
A commitment to continuous improvement, results oriented, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, leading change with an inclusive and growth mindset.


BC Pay Transparency Requirement: The base salary range for this position is $140,300.00 CAD to $165,000.00 CAD. Actual total compensation may differ based on candidate's qualifications and location.


The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
