What is the difference between continuous service rating and maximum continuous rating? When do we use maximum continuos rating?

My understanding, please correct if you feel I'm wrong

Max rating is the manufactures max loading for that engine, the MCR is the rated power for that engine.
Most engines are run about 10% lower at the continuous service rating or CSR
