The Marine Atlantic Ferries Caribou and Smallwood were sold earlier this year. They did not meet new regulations and the cost of refurbishment was more then the company was willing to pay.
Within 2 months they were at Alang to be broken up and enviromentalist are howling at the fact that MA let them be sold to a company that would send them there. As if MA could prevent them from being sold on to another buyer.
