$18–$47 an hour - Fixed term contract
The Edmonton Queen is a 399 passenger paddlewheeler operating on the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, Alberta by The Edmonton Riverboat. We are searching for Transport Canada certified marine personnel to ferry the vessel back to port after dry dock repairs.
The Chief Engineer requires a at *minimum* Small Vessel Machinery Operator – Restricted (SVMO-R) certificate, current Basic Marine First Aid and STCT/MED certificates (A1 A2 B1 B3 C). Higher certificates are valid (e.g. 4th Class Engineer or higher).
We are looking to hire immediately. Local candidates preferred but lodging and transportation can be discussed for candidates not in Edmonton. Duration: approximately 1 week.
A seasonal contract may be available to the right candidate after the vessel is back at port. Our on-water operating season is approximately until September. Other employment opportunities may be available during the off season.
Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
