Position: Red Seal Mechanics/ Millwrights OR Transport Canada Marine Engineer Certificate of Competency (Must have valid Transport Canada Engine Room Assistant Certification)

Location: Hay River Shipyard, NWT

Wages: Probationary Rate: $43.43 Full Rate: $46.20

Job description

Shipyard and marine experience an asset.
This is a union job with Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) operating under current collective agreement with Offshore Recruiting Services Inc.
Base hourly for initial 90 day probationary rate is $43.43/hour, then after probation is completed, $46.20/hour
Northern allowance of $275 is payable bi-weekly
Vacation pay is 9%.
12 Stat holidays
Overtime payable at 1.5 after 8 hours Monday through Friday and double time on weekends.
Eligibility for 5% completion bonus
Eligibility for immediate coverage under our Sun life employee benefits for yourself and dependents
This is a camp job and there is eligibility for a $60 tax free per diem
We will issue PPE
We provide round trip airfare

This is a work to finish job so we are looking for commitment for 90 days.

Work Scope:

Repair/ Maintain vessel propulsion systems as well as experience with generators, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery.
Maintenance/ repairs of rolling stock - cranes, forklifts, vehicles etc.
