Location: Bull Arm Site

To support the Hebron GBS project, Kiewit-Kvaerner Contractors is seeking resumes from qualified individuals to join our GBS team based at Bull Arm site, NL.

Senior Marine Operations Engineer - # 20819

Reporting to the Marine Operations Lead, the Senior Marine Operations Engineer will provide technical support during the engineering, construction and installation phases of the Hebron Gravity Based Structure (GBS) project including topsides float-over and deck mating. The Senior Marine Operations Engineer will work as a part of a specialized team preparing detail plans and procedures followed by work-up and field activities during execution of marine operations.

Responsibilities:
Plan and execute GBS marine operations in a safe and systematic manner
Perform marine design work, produce technical reports, method statements, procedures and task plans
Specify and technically evaluate supply of marine equipment and vessels
Participate in operational risk assessments
Interface with other project functions and departments such as engineering, construction and Topsides teams
Serve as liaison with subcontractors, consultants, marine warranty surveyors and official authorities
Perform periodic field visits and provide on-site technical support as required during work-up, mobilization, readiness planning and execution of marine operations
Lead specialized task groups and provide leadership of the assigned team

Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Naval Architecture
5-10+ years’ relevant experience required
Experience in planning and executing marine operations or other related offshore marine installation work
Experience with Topsides float-overs and/or deck mating is considered an asset
Must have excellent interpersonal and coordination skills and ability to work well within teams
