Small Vessel Machinery Operator

Responsibities:
Responsible for the safe, efficient and economical operation all vessel machinery and equipment. Example: oil checks, anti-freeze, sea strainers
Perform troubleshooting, problem solving as well as preventative and corrective maintenance to prevent down time while ensuring the efficient and continual functioning of the vessel
Ensure the machinery is compliant and meets regulatory and class requirements
Review and sign off the Engine Room Logbook while ensuring that all required information is entered accurately and kept up-to-date
Reporting of any incident and/or damage affecting sea worthiness, speed or normal operations
Ensure daily requirements for daily water, fuel, sewage levels are maintained and recorded, monitor engines during underway times and record required engine temperatures, oil pressure, etc
Job Type: Casual
Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:
SVMO (required)
MED (required)
Transport Canada Marine Medical (required)
