Skill Requirements:
Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): 3rd Class Marine Engineer Certificate, 2nd Class Marine Engineer Certificate, 1st Class Marine Engineer Certificate
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Experience: Marine transportation company, Barge
Specific Skills: Operate main engines, machinery and auxiliary equipment on ships, Stand engine room watch, Inspect and conduct maintenance and emergency repair, Maintain records and prepare reports on engine performance
Additional Skills: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of engine room crew
Security and Safety: Bondable
Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel regularly, Travel expenses paid by employer, Willing to travel cross-border
